What makes aquamarine unique?
At Olga Prieto, we often talk about the properties of stones and what their colors convey. Just as colors and types of stones transmit unique meanings, their shapes are also important, as they amplify these properties. For example, stones with rounded surfaces are softer and more approachable, while more angular ones denote strength and precision. At Olga Prieto, we work with three types of shapes: oval, square, and teardrop.

Before becoming a jewel, aquamarine begins as a mineral formation created over millions of years.
Its name and color evoke water, light, and the transparency of the sea.

Aquamarine is part of the same mineral family as emerald.
Two gems very different in appearance, but united by the same natural origin.

The blue hue of aquamarine appears due to small amounts of iron present during its formation.
Each stone can have different shades: lighter, more intense, greener, or more transparent.
